    Andreia Areal

    MBA, BA, PGCHE | Head of Academic Development |                                                 Head of School - Business Management

Andreia is a lecturer, consultant and author with extensive experience in different industries. With a law background Andreia spent her first years of her career working as a solicitor for business and international law in Portugal. She worked extensively with corporate companies in Portugal acting in the capacity of a solicitor where she gained insight on business practices and procedures.

After moving to England, she decided to pursue an MBA while working in sales and marketing for UNICEF, World Vision and later for Santander UK.

She is currently a visiting lecturer at several London universities where she teaches marketing, business strategy and corporate social responsibility and ethics modules. She is also a management consultant and trainer in digital marketing, marketing strategy, and sustainable marketing. She is a published author in reputed academic journals and has her own Blog ‘Confessions of Millennial Manager’.

    Hasa Ram

    MSc, BA, B.Com | Head of School – Health and Social Care

Hasa Ram carries extensive National and International experience of managing organisations at senior positions both in academic and corporate sectors.

He is an experienced lecturer with teaching exposure at postgraduate and undergraduate degree and diploma level courses Health and Social Care, Business and Hospitality programs on various universities and Pearson-Edexcel run specifications.

Hasa is an Academic Associate of Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) with MSc in Human Resources Management from London School of Economics & Political Science (LSE), Masters in Public Administration, Bachelors in Arts, Bachelors in Commerce and other Teaching, Assessment and ICT courses and qualifications.

    Professor Bruce Sheppy

    MBA, MSc, BSc, PGCHE | Lecturer schools of Health & Business

Bruce is an experienced senior management professional having served as group Marketing director of a South African hospital group listed on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange, and as CEO of a pan African medical insurance and health management group with offices in Egypt, Tanzania, Kenya, Ghana and Rwanda. After moving to England in 2003, he changed his career to that of an academic, trainer and consultant. In England, he has also served as a director of a NHS Acute Trust, a Community Association and a Mental Health charity in London.

A Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and a Member of the Institute of Directors , he is also a visiting lecturer at a number of London based universities and colleges in the subject areas of strategy, marketing and leadership. He has an extensive publication record in peer reviewed journals, and is on the editorial board of a leading healthcare management journal, and a director of an environmental management institute.

    Professor Agi Oldfield

    MSc, BSc | Lecturer, School of Business

Professor of Organisational Behaviour and an Organisational Psychologist with substantial lecturing experience in Leadership, Organisational Behaviour, Corporate Governance, Human Resource Management, and Risk Management in a number of major UK universities and also delivered Masters level courses internationally. Her academic career has been underpinned by considerable consulting experience with major organisations in the private and public sector within the UK. Her research and consultancy expertise focus predominantly on Human Factors in Risk Management.

As an expert, she has made a major contribution to the production of British Standards Institution (BSi) guidelines on Organisational Risk Management, and was a key author in the report for the Rail Standards and Safety Board (RSSB) on Risk in Management Systems. Agi has held visiting lecturer roles in ESADE in Barcelona and Budapest University. The EU also supporting her to disseminate her Risk Management knowledge to other institutions in the EU. Additionally, she has contributed to EU policy on Risk Management. Agi has held a number of senior positions within the UK Higher Education Institutions, not only in lecturing but also senior management roles.

Agi’s latest publication was in 2016 as co-author of Global Risk Assessment and Strategic Planning: An introduction and facilitator’s guide to GRASP Methodology, published by ICE (Institute of Civil Engineers).

    Juan Zuliani

    MBA, BA | Lecturer, School of Business

Juan was born in Medellin, Colombia with Italian ancestry, Juan David's professional and academic careers have developed simultaneously and internationally. His work as Information Systems Co-ordinator for the British and Colombian Chamber of Commerce in London helped strengthen the commercial and cultural bond between Europe and South America by promoting bilateral trade and investment projects. This allowed him to work closely with major multinationals that operate on both sides of the Atlantic, as well as with the high spheres of national governments. More recently, as the Director of Education Programmes for Gold Mercury International, a London-based governance and strategic visioning think tank, Juan David worked alongside the CEO on advisory projects with global brands such as Coca-Cola. He has also co-created and taught executive education programmes within the field of strategy and change management, which have been offered in London to top-level management from leading African corporations.

 

Throughout his work and involvement with companies and governments, Juan David has also been active in the academic realms by developing and teaching undergraduate and postgraduate managerial courses for an array of colleges, universities and business schools. He has taught students from every continent and his courses have been taught in academic institutions and business schools in North America, Europe and Asia. His research on project quality and risk management has been published on the British Journal of Healthcare Management, a highly ranked peer-reviewed academic journal in the United Kingdom.

 

Juan David holds an honours BA degree in International Business and a distinction MBA degree, both from the University of Buckingham - UK. He is now exploring PhD prospects within his main research areas, which include sustainability, project management, risk management, smart cities and organisational behaviour.

  • Dr Susan Marchant-Haycox PhD

    PhD, MSc, BSc | Lecturer, School of Business

Apart from being actively involved in academia Dr. Marchant-Haycox has worked throughout the mass media; appearing on television, or quoted in national and international newspapers and magazines. She also worked as a Press Officer to an international Impresario in the music industry; produced, written and edited in-house magazines (Drake International); and has been extensively involved in public relations and advertising in general; and reviews journal articles in psychology.

    Tahsin Ozalan

    MBA, BA, AAT | Lecturer, School of Business

Tahsin is an experienced Business and Finance Lecturer who has worked various further and higher education colleges in London. He has also experience in educational leadership and management working as Director of Studies, Quality Nominee and Programme Leader.

Before coming to the academic profession, for six years Tahsin worked as a Financial Journalist for the Dunya Newspaper in Turkey which is similar to the Financial Times. He has participated in many research and consultancy projects focused on improving the clients’ business performance in the areas of costing, pricing and market entry strategies. He also has an interest in professional qualifications, is AAT qualified and is currently working towards ACCA.

    Vera Koubkova

Vera Koublova is an experienced leader with 15 years of expertise in strategy implementation and change management. Certified in Agile Project Management, Management of Risk, Change Management and PRINCE2 with a proven track record of delivering multi-million pound business process redesign and technology-driven change projects within Financial Services and Higher Education, in the UK, Europe and Russia. Skilled in leading cross-functional virtual as well as co-located teams. She is an enthusiastic lecturer of BSc, MSc and MBA students at a range of business schools in London and a member of the Executive Board of the Czech British Chamber of Commerce in London and a trustee of a children’s charity Kipepeo Foundation.
